WHERE DO YOUR PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS GO?

The graph above depicts the disbursement of property tax dollars for an average homeowner in Campton Hills. The Village does not levy a property tax, our revenues derive from a portion of State Sales taxes, Motor Fuel taxes, and Road and Bridge taxes. Through an intergovernmental agreement, Campton Township Highway District maintains the roads in the Village using Road and Bridge funds owed to the Village. The Village relies on Motor Fuel Tax revenues to pay for major road resurfacing projects. This year the Village will be resurfacing over six miles of roads.
