The Campton Hills Police Department is excited to announce a partnership with Ring. The Neighbors network already has millions of users and has been instrumental in stopping burglaries, catching package thieves and keeping neighborhoods safe. The Campton Hills Police Department began their partnership with Ring on Tuesday August 4th, 2020. 

Residents can download the Neighbors app for free on iOS and Android and use the app to; join their neighborhood, share crime and safety-related videos, photos and text-based posts; and receive real-time safety alerts from their neighbors, local law enforcement and the Ring team.

The Campton Hills Police Department is dedicated to working in partnership with the community to enhance the quality of life for Campton Hills residents, businesses and visitors while also promoting safety. The department feels that it is important our agency embraces the advancements in technology that will allow us to better serve our community. The Campton Hills Police Department is always looking for ways to improve services that we provide to the community, including those using technology. The Ring Neighbors app provides another avenue of safety and security for residents and businesses in the community. The partnership with Ring is another way that we can provide timely information to our community. The Ring Neighbors app will also allow our residents the ability to assist the department during investigations by providing video that could be crucial in helping solve crimes. The safest communities are those where residents, businesses and the police department work together, which we are very fortunate to have here in Campton Hills.  

The Ring Neighbors app is currently being used by over 1000 law enforcement agencies across the United States with great success. The Ring Neighbors app provides a platform to keep communities up to date on local crime and safety information. The Neighbors Ring app has shown that, when neighbors, the Ring team and law enforcement all work together, we can create safer communities. Neighbors is meant to facilitate real-time communication between these groups, while maintaining neighbor privacy first and foremost. Participation in Neighbors is completely voluntary, and law enforcement can only see videos that residents provide.
