Civil/Ordinance Violation Local Records Search Request
Pursuant to the passing of Public Act 99-697 in July 2016, amending the Cannabis Control Act, the Drug Paraphernalia Act and the Criminal Identification Act, persons cited for possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis or in possession of drug paraphernalia while in possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis, can no longer be charged with a criminal offense and can only be cited with a civil violation. Records of persons cited for violation of these acts, shall be expunged immediately upon successful payment of subsequent fine(s), or no later than January 1 or July 1, after the issuance of the citation, once the fine(s) have been successfully paid. If you have been issued a citation applicable to the amended Cannabis Control Act or the Drug Paraphernalia Act, and would like to view your record in the Campton Hills Police Department’s Record Management System, please complete the below information. Each separate violation date requires the completion of a separate form. If the civil violations have been resolved satisfactorily, the requester will receive a response of “NO RECORD”. Disclosure of juvenile records of persons under the age of 18 are subject to the provisions of 705ILCS 405/1-7.
