September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Campton Hill’s Village President and Village Board approved a Proclamation, September 7, 2021, recognizing September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in the Village.    While explaining the Proclamation and the designation of September as a month to raise Childhood Cancer awareness, Village President Mike Tyrrell asked, that everyone in the Village do what they can to help give youngsters, like Avery, a fighting chance against the disease.  Avery’s mom, Amy, contacted President Tyrrell and asked for the Village’s support in this effort by Proclaiming Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Campton Hills.

President Tyrrell, stated, “Many people and families, that each of us know, have been touched by Cancer and unfortunately, that includes children.  Please do what you can, by donating to Cancer research as well as just raising awareness of the continued need to support the medical research and the individuals and families that journey through the Cancer experience.”
