Village Administrator, Denise Burchard, received the “Outstanding Service to the Department” from the Northern Illinois University Master of Public Administration program at their graduation ceremony on Friday. Ms. Burchard was chosen by the faculty for significantly contributing to the success of the Department of Public Administration. NIU’s MPA program is nationally ranked as one of the top five universities for best Public Administration programs (US News and World Report). Denise Burchard was a key figure in the MPA program at NIU for ten years while continuing to maintain her level of leadership and expertise in public administration.
